About me

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with experience working with young people and adults. I am accredited with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have experience working with a wide range of mental health presentations. These include anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders and body image, trauma, anger, OCD, suicidal ideation/self-harm and child abuse.

I gained experience as a Young Person’s Counsellor with SMILE Counselling in Livingston and volunteer as a Training Assistant with ACT Counselling Services, supporting students studying for the PG Diploma in CBT.

During my training, I volunteered with SMILE Counselling, providing 1-1 sessions with clients aged 16-24 and Neil’s Hugs, supporting people who had lost a friend or relative to suicide. I also volunteered as an assistant tutor with ACT Counselling Services supporting students studying the COSCA Counselling Skills course.

I am passionate about helping people discover their coping strategies to help them through difficult times. I work as an integrative counsellor, using CBT and Schema techniques at a pace to suit individual needs.
