What our clients have said
Types of counselling available
Person-centred
‘Person-Centered’ is a popular approach used by counsellors. It offers clients an understanding approach by helping them get things off their chest. Counsellors will not advise or tell you what to do but will ask questions to help you clarify your thoughts and feelings.
This approach is popular as it gives the client the freedom to talk in a supportive and confidential manner, rather than using specific techniques to manage things. It will teach you to learn to trust yourself and help you to realise your potential.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on current issues more than focusing on your past. It believes that thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours all interact, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.
Unlike other talking therapies, it considers practical ways to help you make changes to your daily life by using tools and techniques.
